Description
This product is a versatile formula for birds of the psittacidae family in their reproductive stage. Breeding extruded food is formulated to stimulate reproduction. It contains high levels of protein with suitable amino acids for this stage. The concentration of vitamins and antioxidants of this product is higher than maintenance extruded foods in order to satisfy the increased requirements during breeding season. Directions for use It is designed to constitute 100% of the parrot’s diet. However, if fresh fruit and vegetables are provided daily to lend variety to the diet, we recommend that Psittacus should constitute no less than 70-80% of the total intake. No vitamin or mineral supplements should be given to parrots whose basic principal food is Psittacus. In the case of reiterated and/or numerous lays, we suggest to allow our Psittacus Grit Coarse available as a calcium source of voluntary intake. It is appropriate to renew food and water daily. Store in a cool dry place after opening (while refrigeration is not advised, freezing is possible if it is hermetically sealed). Daily intake Birds consumption varies between 5% and 8% of body weight per day in case of medium-sized species (for example, African Grey) and up to 10% for small-sized species.
